Pearlman Cabin

History

Idyllwild

The Pearlman Cabin in Idyllwild, California, a mid-century modern vacation home, was commissioned by Dr. Carl and Agnes Branch Pearlman. Agnes conceived the structure and it was designed by the world-famous architect John Lautner in 1957. William Norward Branch, Jr. (Agnes’ brother) - and other family members - built it, and daughter Nancy Pearlman inherited it. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and has been in museum exhibits in Europe and North America.
